Tailgate party on dock 700

This is our third day in Rogersville and since the boat is all clean we got to play a little. The Chamber of commerce arranged for a van to take us into town today. Rogersville is a quaint little town with a bunch of little shops and they are all decorated for Halloween.  The chamber office itself had a wonderful display encouraging us to shop and support this little town. Which of course we did.
Check out the Shop y'all sign on the right of the photo and the looper written on the brown paper bag to the bottom left.

When I left VON the girls bought me a leather bracelet with a charm of a little trawler boat charm. Today I found a little shop that had some charms that fit it. Since our boat is Perfect Balance with a Yin Yang on it, this little yin yang is a perfect addition.

After our shopping trip we went for a bike ride around the property and we checked out all the boats in the covered slips to the far left of the resort. Then we went down the little roads of this very hilly terrain just to burn a few calories which we promptly replaced later tonight.
The desert table
There is a yacht club here that occupies the very last covered docking slips. The members of this club hosted a tailgate party for us. So on the dock they set up a big screen TV with the football game going. Each member of the club brought food. There was at least 5 types of chilli, some taco soup, hot dogs and dips. Then there was the desert table with who knows how many thousands of calories on it.

The members of the yacht club were all so generous and friendly and we thank them all for hosting such a lovely evening.

Tomorrow Doc and Liz will be flying into Nashville and then driving here to spend the week with us. We are very excited to see them and look forward to a week of fun and learning. Night all
