We started our day out in some serious rain. Another boater
leaving the dock, got stuck in the mud just off the docks, so my wonderful
husband quickly went out to play the good Samaritan.
It took an awful lot of
wiggling but he finally got him off the shoaling. As he was coming back to the boat, the
gentleman was waving for him to come back. So nice guy that he is, he turned
around and went back.
Jeff also got into his boat at this point but it was not
to get him off, but rather tow him in. It seems that his personal attempts to
get off the shoaling, had resulted in him turning the prop right off, so he had
no way of getting back to the dock. The boys got him in safely and of course,
refused any cash for their efforts.
Since it was raining, the "H's " decided to go
check out the Marina they were going to leave their boat at, so we went along
for the ride. It was not much to look at, but their baby will be safe and sound
for the summer, awaiting their arrival in the fall. We had put the golf clubs
in the car, just in case, so when we returned to North Myrtle beach, we had a
quick lunch and then off to the golf course. We chose a par 3 for the girl's
sake, which was difficult for Jim. He overpowered every ball. On one hole he
actually used his putter and still overshot the hole! Into the parking lot none
the less!
The greens were in terrible shape too, trying to put through this
criss-cross sod was incredibly difficult. We opted not to count scores today,
it was just for fun. I must say we all golfed pretty good! My drive is getting
better and I can now get well over the 20 yards consistently.
My long put is
getting pretty good too.
We all putted expertly despite the horrible greens!
After the 9 hole course we moved on to the driving range to
hit a few balls. As usual we had lots of fun and laughs. I sure am going to
miss those 2 when we have to separate!.
Tomorrow the boys will golf at a big boy course, while the
girls go take care of a bit of business.
Good night all.
