Golfing capital of North America....really!

So here we are in Myrtle Beach, the golfing capital of North America. There are so many golf courses here, that even locals have a hard time playing on each course. So what do you do when you are in Myrtle Beach? Well you golf of course.

Jim and I took the morning to do a few chores,

one of which was moving the boat down to the other side of the docks. You see we are docked on either side of a launch ramp and since a boat left this morning we could now dock on the same side. The current was flowing towards Jeff and Sue's boat so we opted to just untie the boat and let the current move it downstream. It was a rather funny sight, but all went very uneventfully.

Jeff and Susan then went to Enterprise to rent a car for a couple of days so we can partake in a few of these world class courses. We all took our golf clubs out. YES we all have clubs on board our vessels! Load them all up and off we go. When we got in the car, it started to rain. Oh and it gets better, the forecast for this entire week is rain! We thought maybe the rain will dissipate, so let's go for a ride, find a par 3 course somewhere, since it was already after lunch and maybe by the time the rain lets off, we will be at the course and ready to go.  I am the only one who has never been here, so Jeff took me for a tour of North Myrtle Beach. When the rain started coming down a little harder we decided that this was not going to happen, so we came back to the boats, removed the clubs  and we then went to check out the south end which is Myrtle Beach proper. We went to Walmart, then to Lowes and still raining,  by this time it is past 3pm so we opted for a quiet afternoon and we then enjoyed a pot luck dinner.

Susan made sweet and sour chicken which was absolutely delicious. After dinner, of course we had to finish the cake from last night, since Jeff informed us he was doing a birthday WEEK, and we had no candles last night so he could not make a wish!

and our game from last night. Jim had some really nice loner hands to play.

Too bad he never got to call the suite!

Susan's cards were not as good:

So Jeff and I triumphed yet again and I believe this makes us over all winners to date.
Sorry I just had to put that corny picture in again!
Plan for tomorrow: load the clubs into the rental car and drive around until we find a course where it is not raining. Hey even if we have to drive to the next town, we will golf tomorrow!

For now though, It's time to say good night.
