We are continuing our plodding along the Trent Severn today,
but the trekking is going slower than anticipated. We locked through as 3 boats
this morning, however the 4th boat in our crew was coming around the
corner just as they were closing the doors. We advised the lockmaster, but she
said that she could lock him through when he got there. He was faster than us
anyways, so despite his late locking, he caught up to us by the next lock.
It started to rain just as we were getting to the second
lock and rained off and on most of the day, but by the time we got to
Bobcaygeon the sun was shining and it was beautiful out. Which made it that
much easier to go find my replacement boat hook. Apparently we have not yet
given enough to the gods of the sea. Today I placed my boat hook on the edge of
the door, and when we got to Bobcaygeon it was gone. The new boat hook is much
better, it's a three piece extendable!

During our outing in this cute little town, we were
inundated with TV stations warning of the possible tornado. Just before I wrote
this, I took these two pictures. The sky is a little grey in front of us, but
certainly not ominous! Well I guess the night is not over yet, but as
far as we can tell, things seem OK right now.
It is 8pm now and still we have sunshine although it is a
bit windier than it was earlier. But when we last looked at the weather report,
we are now under a severe storm warning, not a tornado warning.
The dropping barometric pressure, is however leaving me with
a nasty headache, so on that note, I will leave you. Nighty night.
