Rainy day on the Trent-Severn 44◦17'.274N 078◦18'.541W

Well we're moving along on the Trent Severn. Our goal remains to get to Penetang for the weekend so we can relax for a week before doing the Trent in the opposite direction. We are now traveling with another boat. This couple just bought it 2 weeks ago and are now bringing it to Georgian Bay. They are actually from Calgary but like to spend as much of their summer as possible in Ontario. They are really nice folks, but it is slowing down our progression through the locks a bit. Yesterday we made it to Campbellford, lock #13. Today we set off from there and made our way to Peterborough at lock # 19.
It was pouring rain when we set out this am, but sailing is not always nice. We thought about holding off until the rain settled, but then we remembered we were not so sweet that we would melt.

Besides, working in the rain is a bit exhilarating! This particular picture of Jim reminds me of Captain Highliner. For those who don't know or don't remember, Captain Highliner was the character created by some food company to advertise their fish sticks.

The rain settled down once we got to Rice lake and by the time we got to Peterborough it was beautiful sunshine all around. Many beautiful homes along this lake too.

So tomorrow we keep plodding on. No idea how far we'll get but hopefully at least another 10 more locks. I'll keep you posted. For now I wish you all good night.

PS. Alex and Simon, I hope you saved some of that El Dorado rum for me!
